- I did not think about investing in myself other than education when I was younger as my focus is on my work and completing my part time degree course. Though I had completed my part time degree course but I was only earning less than $2000 and not more than 1 month variable bonus as I was hit with 1998 crisis and was retrenched at 25 years old so I had to work part time and eventually converted to contract and later on permanent staff.
- I was struggling and was even in debt to pay off the packages that I signed up using credit card. Instead of earning more to cover my expenses, I was spending more and do not know how to manage the money.
I had worries and concerns since I do not have money so I should not further spend on developing myself.
It was only when I started reading the book recommended on Secrets of Millioniare Mind and attended the program, it opened up my mind about my own money blueprint and how it affected my spending habits. I learned is all about my mindset which I need to breakthrough.
Though the seminar is free for the MMI as we bought the book but I decided to pay for the Quantum Leap program as I see the value that it brings and the network that I will be in surrounded by people who wants success and will be able to influence you in a positive way.
Friends who attend free seminar but did not take action after 1- 2 years
I had sponsored programs in office but I paid to attend external programs.
Takeaway
If you pay to learn, you will appreciate more the value and will be eager to be successful knowing that you have to be committed to put in extra hours and work to make it happen.
This investment in ourselves is something that no one can take from us. It will stay with us and helped us to transform with growth mindset because it is the breakthrough we have within ourselves that we will move forward and accelerate our career and business.
